Obit: SERVICES FOR ROY EDGAR CONDUCTED ON THURSDAY.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon for Roy Garland Edgar, 76, of Madill.
Mr. Edgar died Tuesday evening in the Tishomingo hospital. He had been in ill health about a year.
Lyndol Adams of Madill Trinity Southern Baptist Church officiated for services at Watts Memorial Chapel. Ron Chancellor was soloist with Johnnie Ruth Jacks as organist.
Mr. Edgar was born April 8, 1909 in Marshall County. He was a life-long resident. He and Flora Kiser were married in Madill Feb. 18, 1933. She survives.
He was employed 33 years with Union Oil Co., retiring in 1973.
Along with his wife, Mr. Edgar is survived by a daughter, Betty Fauber, of Denver, Colo., two sons, Roy Jr. and Charles Edgar of Madill, 10 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and three brothers, Johnnie and Ted of Madill and Bud Edgar of Monahans, Tex.
Casket escorts for services and burial in Woodberry-Forest Cemetery were T. L. Qualls, Bob Williams, Tommy Crouch, W. F. Rushing, John H. Jones, Frank Pruitt, Frank Pickens and M. A. Pickett.
