In 1930 Brandsville, Howell County,Mo., John Harmon 35 years and wife Mildred[Neptune]32 years and children; Cathyrn Harmon 11, Mary Joe Harmon 10, John F Harmon 8 and Winfred Harmon 6 years old.
During World War II, John Francis Harmon III, joined the Marine Corps as an aviation Cadet, but just the day before he was to have receved his wings, another Cadet pilot crashed into him; threw him from the plane, and he died May 15 1943 in Florida. Promoted Posthumously to 2nd Lieut, He is buried in College Hill Cemetery, Lebanon, St Clair County,IL.
