RUTH E. WILCOCK, 81, of Chestnut Hill Road, Chepachet, an employee for the Rhode Island school-lunch program before she retired, died yesterday at Pine Grove Nursing Home, Pascoag.
She was the wife of John H. Wilcock.
A lifelong resident of Chepachet, she was a daughter of the late William H. and Flora E. (Phatteplace*) Sherman.
Mrs. Wilcock was employed in the lunch program in Chepachet and Burrillville for 20 years. She retired in 1978. She had previously worked in the Stillwater Worsted Mills in Mapleville, Harrisville and Greenville for many years. She was a member of Chepachet Union Church.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, a sister, three grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
She was the sister of the late Charles Sherman.
