Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Frye Chapel & Mortuary in Brawley for Frances H. Derrick Tucker, 77, of Brawley, who died Saturday.
Pastor Joe Finnell of Calipatria Community Church will officiate.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in El Centro.
Mrs. Tucker was born July 29, 1924, and was raised and attended schools in Brawley. She graduated from Brawley Union High School in 1941.
She was a "Rosie the Riveter" for Douglas Aircraft during World War II and later worked as a clerk in Brawley, being employed at the city's water office for several years. She also worked for Wilke Machine & Auto Parts in Brawley.
She married Jay Tucker in Baldwin Park on Feb. 13, 1943. The couple had a Los Angeles Times route in Brawley for 14 years.
The Tuckers opened a Farmers Insurance agency in 1972, where Mrs. Tucker continued working until her death.
Mrs. Tucker was involved in Babe Ruth and was a member of the Galloping Gossips Equestrian Riding Group.
She enjoyed working in her yard, being around her horses and spending time with her family, according to family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay Tucker, on Oct. 12, 1999; brother, Lester Derrick in 1988; and sister, Evelyn Powers in 1980.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Les and Debi Tucker of Vallejo; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Kent Constable of Brawley; grandchildren, James P. and Laurie Tucker, both of Vallejo, and Lisa and Tyler Constable, both of Brawley; sister and brother-in-law, Lucille and Alfred Mamer of Nampa, Idaho; sister-in-law, Donna Derrick of San Diego; and numerous nieces and nephews.
