In the matter of the Estate of Willis Hartley, deceased, Case Number 4106, application to transfer real estate.
Willis Hartley, a resident of Jackson Township, in said county, died intestate on the 14th day of April, 1930 and that on the 15th day of August, 1931, Jacob E. Davis was duly appointed and qualified as Administrator of the estate of said decedent.
The following is a description of each parcel of real estate, situated in Ohio, owned by the decedent at the time of his death.
Situated in the State of Ohio, Pike County, and Township of Jackson to-wit:
1st Tract: Being the N.E. quarter of the S.W. quarter of Section Two, Township Six. Range Twenty containing 40 acres more or less and conveyed to Willis Hartley, April 3, 1883 and recorded in Volume 52, page 417, Pike County, Ohio, Deed Records.
2nd Tract: 10 acres off the S. side of S.W. quarter of S.E. quarter of section two, Township Six, Range Twenty.
3rd Tract: 4 acres of the S.W. corner of S.E. quarter of Section Two, adjoining above described ten acres.
4th Tract: 1 acre on the W. end of Section Two adjoining the above mentioned 4 acres subject to right of way heretofore granted to owners of Aleshire land located on W. side of above lands. The second, third, and fourth tracts conveyed to Willis Hartley, 5/8/28 and recorded in Volume 79, page 221 of the Pike County, Ohio Deed Records.
The next of kin were listed as follows:
Samantha Hartley, Springfield, Ohio, Widow, Dower
Mary Elizabeth Bowman, 10 Cleveland Street, Springfield, Ohio, Daughter, 49 years old, Fee Subject to Dower. Total assets about $500.00

Willis Hartley, age 70, a former resident of Pike County passed away Tuesday morning at his home at Springfield, Ohio, his death being due to tuberculosis. The remains were forwarded to the Davis-Hammerstein Funeral Home at Beaver, Thursday. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at one thirty o'clock at the Allen Chapel in Jackson Township with the Rev. W.L. Reisinger in charge with burial at the Allen Chapel Cemetery.
Deceased is survived by three children and two brothers, Joseph and Thomas Hartley of Jackson Township.
