Emma Jane Featherstone, loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Friend, and Angel of the Latter Days, passed from this life to a better one on Oct. 29, 2001.

Emma was born in Holladay, Utah, the daughter of Joseph S. and Zina H. Oliver.

She attended school in Granite School District and graduated from Granite High School.

She worked for years as head Sales-Lady for New England Bakery in Sugar House. She married Jim. D. Featherstone Nov.18, 1957 in the Salt Lake Temple. They are the parents of three wonderful children. Emma was a great teacher and a true leader in the Church, serving as Primary president, Relief Society president and as a counselor in the Stake Young Women's presidency. In her later years she found great joy in attending the temple regularly. Emma never spoke an unkind word to anyone and is dearly loved by all who knew her.

Emma is survived by her husband, daughters Pam (Jack) Hart of Draper, Lori (Jeff) Darrington of Sandy and Greg J. (Diana) Featherstone of Draper and nine grandchildren Garrick, Heather, Mathew, Cole, Addison, Layton, Madalie, Cassidy and Landon. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and two brothers, Marvin H. Oliver and Richard R. Oliver. Preceded in death by her parents, sisters Dorothy Emery, Chloe Jones, Lavelle Jones and two brothers Sam and Allen Oliver.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday Nov. 2, 2001 at the Winder 5th Ward LDS Chapel 1361 E. 4000 So. Friends may call at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 E. 10600 S. on Thursday, Nov. 1st from 6-8 p.m.; and at the Chapel on Friday from 9:45-10:45 prior to the services.

The family wishes to acknowledge the great love and tender care given to Emma by Camille, Debi, and Roni of the Garden Terrace Alzheimer's Day Care Unit as well as the staff and management of the Draper Rehab and Care Center.
