Fred Athearn of Kremlin is Buried. Banker and Farmer of 26 Years Residence Buried in Havre
Havre, Aug. 3--Funeral services for Fred D. Athearn were held at the Holland and Bonine funeral home, the rites of the Christian Science church being conducted by Mrs. Krause. Interment was in Highland cemetery.
Fred Duley Athearn was born Dec. 11, 1878 at Fargo. He was educated in Fargo and Grafton schools, worked as a registered pharmacist in Grafton, and was in the drug business in Ambrose N.D.
He came to Kremlin about 26 years ago, being associated with Freeman Johnson in operating the Kremlin bank. For ten years he engaged in wheat farming on a large scale near Kremlin, living part of the year in Havre.
Athearn was married in 1912, at Ambrose, N. D., to Clarinda Lomen of Ryder, N. D.
He died at his ranch where he had been working the last few weeks.
He is survived by his wife and two sons, James and Robert, and by a brother, John Athearn, of Deer Lodge.
