Mrs. Emma Katherine Ziegler, wife of Otto Ziegler of this city, died at the family home at 128 East High Street last night about 11 o'clock, following an extended illness of more than three years.
Mrs. Ziegler, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Herweck, was born in St. Louis November 17, 1869 and had attained the age of sixty years at the time of her death. She moved to this city with her parents when she was five years of age, making Edwardsville her home since that time. She was united in marriage November 23, 1893 to Otto Ziegler.
She was an active member of the Eden Evangelical Church and the Ladies Aid. In 1884 she was confirmed from the church. Her parents and three sisters preceded her in death some years ago.
Those surviving are, her husband, four sisters, Mrs. J.C. Kennedy, of Alton, Mrs. Clara Dunn, Mrs. G.W. Buckles and Mrs. Olin Brave of this city and one brother, Charles Herweck of Los Angeles, Calif.
Complete funeral arrangements have not been made but services will be held Friday afternoon from the home thence to the Eden Church with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery. Rev. H.J. Bredehoeft will conduct the rites.
