Minnie Pearl Weeks of Granbury, 94, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013, in Granbury.

Graveside service: 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, 2013, at Chamberlain Cemetery in Kingsville, Texas.

When Minnie Pearl Trant was born on February 13, 1919, in Ricardo, Texas, her father, Horace, was 19, and her mother, Effie, was 18. She had two sons with David Pearl Ayers between 1940 and 1942.

Minnie had lived in Granbury since 2003. Minnie had worked in the family owned dress shop and was a substance abuse counselor at the military base in Corpus Christi.

Minnie Pearl (nee Trant) Ayers Weeks died on August 27, 2013, in Granbury, Texas, at the age of 94 year, 6 months, 15 days, and was buried in Kingsville, Texas, Chamberlain Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Effie Myrtle Miller and Horace Lee Trant; husband, Warren Weeks, and sons, David Ayers and Dennis Ayers.

Survivors: Grandchildren, Andrea Carmack of Bluff Dale, Robert Rice of Logans Port, La.; great-grandchildren, Jared Fore, Janni-Lee Carmack; sister, Florene Myers of Ricardo, Texas; niece, Karla Siebert; nephew, Ronnie Myers; and other extended family.

Arrangements were by Wiley Funeral Home.
