WELFORD, A. Reece II, 69, of Ruther Glen, died Saturday, October 16, 2010 at his home. A lifelong resident of Caroline, he owned and operated his family's business, Trailway Inn. He had been in the seafood business for many years and also had been a commercial fisherman. He operated Trailway Sporting Goods for awhile and enjoyed making stained glass and waterfowl decoys. Survivors include his partner of 20 years, Rosemarie "Rosie" Petrie; his son, Welford A. Reece III; four granddaughters and one great-grandchild. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 19 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green, with Rev. Kevin Childs officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hermon Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions maybe made to the American Cancer Society or SPCA.
