Otis Harry Alexander Jr., 68, of 5100 Old Randleman Road died Wednesday, March 8, 1995, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Congregational United Church of Christ with the Rev. Julie Peeples officiating. Burial will follow in Guilford Memorial Park.

Mr. Alexander was a native of Greensboro and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a charter member of Congregational United Church of Christ. He was retired from Internal Revenue Service and retired from the Internal Revenue Service Credit Union. He was very active in Boy Scouts of America for more than 50 years and served as Scout Master of his church troop for 27 years. He was a member of the Order of the Arrow and a recipient of the Silver Beaver Award. H e was a lifetime member of the Sumner PTA, a member of the Sumner Civitan Club and served as its treasurer for 26 years. He was also the recipient of the Honor Key.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Joy Belle Alexander.

Survivors include his wife, Lee Tippett Alexander; daughters, Brenda Stevenson of Greensboro, Tiffany Hamilton of Stokesdale and Jasmine Alexander of the home; sons, Johnny Alexander of Angier, Harry Alexander III of Winston-Salem, Reed Alexander of Wilmington, Bradley Alexander of York, S.C., Mark Alexander of Greensboro, Dana Alexander and Billy Alexander, both of Climax; brother, Wayne Thomas Alexander of Greensboro; 12 grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren.
