Gloria C. Aaron, 63, of West Newton (South Huntingdon Township), died Thursday, March 31, 2005, in UPMC Presbyterian, Oakland.

She was born May 3, 1941, in Monessen, a daughter of the late Robert and Sally (Galano) Calderone.

She was employed at the Smithton truck stop.

She was a Democratic Committeewoman, and she was involved with all her grandchildren's activities.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Calderone.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Robert D. Aaron; her son, Robert D. Aaron Jr. and his wife, Tracey; her daughter, Rebecca D. Aaron; three grandchildren, Jourdan, Logan and Gabrielle; two brothers, Joseph Calderone and wife, Diane, and Frederick Calderone; and a number of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the J. WILLIAM McCAULEY JR. FUNERAL HOME INC., West Newton. A blessing service will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the funeral home with the Rev. Paul R. Stivason officiating. Interment will be in Olive Branch Cemetery, Rostraver Township.
