Alaida Albertha Miedema, 86, Valley City, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 1998, in Sheyenne Care Center, Valley City.
Alaida VanBruggen, known as Allie, was born June 11, 1911, near LItchville, ND. She grew up and attended school in North Dakota. On Sept. 14, 1938 she married John Miedema. They lived in Marion, ND. In 1955 they moved to Valley City, where she worked at Sheyenne Care Center. In 1974 they moved to Alamo, Texas. He died in 1979. In 1991 she returned to Valley City. She entered the care center in 1996.
She is survived by three daughters, Henrietta (Douglas) Lenzmeier, Fargo, Agnes (David) Morgan, Brazoria, Texas, Geraldine (David) Goudie, Kent, Wash., a sister, Gertrude Boom, Marion; and six grandchildren.
Services were conducted at the North Marion Reformed Church near Marion.
Burial is at the North Reformed Cemetery near Marion.
