In 1905 Harold J Boom (1 y, born in Wisconsin), his father John H Boom (36, Wisconsin), his mother Johanna H (34, Wisconsin), his siblings Winnie (10, Wisconsin), Franklin S (8, Wisconsin), Anthony A (6, Wisconsin), Marion J (4, Wisconsin) and Clarance A (2, Wisconsin) were living in the country town of Alto, Fond du Lac County, located in the mid southeastern part of Wisconsin, about 70 miles north of Milwaukee.

In April 1910 Herald Boom (5), his father Johanes J Boom (40, farmer), his mother Johana (39), his siblings Winepie (15), Frank (13), Anthony (11), Marvin (9), Clerance (7), Aaron (4, Wisconsin) and Edwin (1, North Dakota) were living at their own farm in Greenland Township, located in the utter southwestern part of Barnes County, in the mid southeastern part of North Dakota.

In 1920 Harold J Boom (15), his father John J Boom (50, his mother Johanna (49), his siblings Frank S (23), Anthony A (21), Marvin (19), Clarence A (17), Aaron (13) and Edwin G (11) were still living at their own farm in Greenland Township, Barnes County, North Dakota.

In 1925 Harold Boom (21), his father J.H. Boom (56), his mother Johanna (54), his brothers Marvin (24) and Gorge (16) were still living in Barnes County, North Dakota. Right next to them his brother Clarence Boom (22), his wife Janet (24) and their children Evelyn (1) and Evelyn (2 months) were living.

On 8 July 1931 Harold Boom and his wife Gertrude Van Bruggen were living in Greenland Township, Barnes County, when their son Lloyd Harold Boom was born.

In April 1940 Harold Boom (35, farmer), his wife Gertrude (34, Holland), their children Lloyd (8, North Dakota), Donald (6, North Dakota) and Joan Harriet (0, North Dakota) were living at a rented farm in still Greenland Township, Barnes County, North Dakota. They lived in 1935 at the same farm.

Harold Boom died in December 1966 at the age of 62 years in Barnes County, North Dakota.

Boom is the Dutch word for Tree.
