Cayuga, Ind. -- Ethel L. Burke, 72, of Cayuga, Ind., died at 2:50 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5, 1999, at Covington Manor Health Care in Covington, Ind.
She was born Aug 5, 1927, in Vermillion County, Ind, the daughter of Laurence Franklin Myers and Alice Myrtle Dowers Myers, who preceded her in death. She married Ralph H. Burke Sr. on May 6, 1946, in POaris, Ill. He poreceded her in death on May 13, 1990.
Mrs. Burke was a homemaker who lived for her family and her grandchildren. Her sister-in-law, Mary Myers, stood by her until the end.
She is survived by a son, Ralph H. Burke Jr. of Covington, Ind.; a daughter, Paula Neild Lewis of Newport, Ind.; six grandchildren; three brothers, Ed Myers of Cayuga, Ind., Kenny Myers of Eugene, Ind., and Larry Myers of Georgetown; and a sister, Evelyn Woodard of Oakwood.
She was preceded by a daughter, Cathy; two sisters, Reva Whitford and Edna Mary Buck; and three brothers, Eskell Myers, Harold Myers and Elvin Myers.
