Mount Horeb Times, November 17, 1898 Obituary
Mrs. Inger Evenson died at her home near this village on Wednesday, Nov. 9th, 1898 at the age of 77 years. The remains were interred at the Lutheran cemetery here on Monday, Nov. 14, followed by a large concourse of relatives and neighbors. Rev. Voldal preached an impressive memorial sermon at the church and officiated at the grave.
Mrs. Evenson leaves six grown children, three of whom are living in this state, namely Mrs. A. A. Odden of Blue Mounds, Mrs. Knut Lunde of Springdale, and Mrs. Klubrud of Barneveld, who were present at the funeral, and three in the state of Minnesota, besides a large number of grandchildren to mourn her death. Two of her children have already preceded her to the realms above, together with her husband, Hans Evenson, who died about six years ago at the same age that she was at the time of her death.
