Mrs. Katherine Dannaher Winter, 80, a native of Nashville, died yesterday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John E. Hostettler, 1033 18th Avenue, South. Mrs. Winter’s husband, Joseph Charles Winter, died five months ago. The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1939. Mrs. Winter spent her youth in Humphreys County, and in Nashville. She was the mother of Sister Mary Joseph, O.P., superior of St. Mary’s Orphanage, and of Dr. W. P. Winter, former member of the Tennessee legislature. In addition, she is survived by three other daughters, Mrs. Josephine Jackson, Nashville, Mrs. William A. Bishop, Orlando, Fla., and Mrs. William B. Goodrich, Houston, Tex.; a brother, John J. Dannaher, Nashville, and fourteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Remains are at the residence as above. Leaving residence Tuesday morning at 8:45 o’clock for the Cathedral of the Incarnation for requiem high mass at 9 o’clock. Pallbearers will be: Honorary – O. B. Hofstetter, Sr., Frank Schindler, Clepper Watson, W. B. Hager, Robert Walker, W. E. Hooser, Tom E. Hibbett, Jr., Paul Haggard, Oscar Olafson and Charles Parrish; Active – William Burns, John Burns, Frank Dannaher, Fred Hostettler, Cedrick Parkhust, Monroe Hooberry, Frank Hostettler and Ed Richmond. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements by Cosmopolitan Funeral Home.
