Kathleen is survived by her loving husband, Hal, of 34 years; sister, Lynn Scott, son, Tom Salter; daughters, Angelena Shirey, Rebecca Lake and Gabriella Parker and nieces Theresa Bock and Rena Miller.
She was the proud grandmother of 12 grandchildren: Tom's children: Jeffrey, Kaitlyn, and Joshua; Angelena's children: Tristan and Taylor; Rebecca's: children, Austin, Alexis, Madison, and Savannah; Gabriella's children:, Kalifornia, Jackson, and Ethan. She was also the great-grandmother of Kaitlyn's son, Landon.
Kathleen is preceded in death by: Her mother, brother, one sister and her grandson, Austin, who was a very special angel of her heart.
She loved her Lord Jesus first and foremost. She was devoted to sharing his love with others and always giving selflessly. She loved her family deeply. She invested in people instead of possessions and was an encourager, giver, counselor, teacher and a woman of grace. She touched the lives of many and will be missed by all.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am-12:30 pm, Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Family Choice Funerals & Cremations, 5401 Indian River Rd in Virginia Beach. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 pm at Rosewood Memorial Park.
