PULASKI – Geraldine Farmer Jones, 85, of Robinson Tract Road, Pulaski, died Sunday, August 21, 2005 in the Pulaski Community Hospital. Born in Pulaski County on April 22, 1920 she was the daughter of the late Russell Thomas Farmer and Stella Jordon Thornton Farmer. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Walter Harvey Farmer, Thomas Jefferson Farmer and James Clarence "Bud" Farmer. Grandson, Richard David "Richie" Jones, II. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, Robinson Tract Road, Pulaski.
Surviving are: her husband of 66 years, Boyd Edward Jones; sons and daughter-in-law, Thomas E. Jones, Pulaski, Richard D. and Pam A. Jones, Newbern; daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn J. and Rodger D. Pike, Virginia Beach, Va., Debbie J. and David W. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 23, at 11 a.m. from the Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Howlett, Rev. Clayton Sweet, Jr. and Rev. Howard Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Thornspring Cemetery. Visiting will be Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski. Grandsons and grandsons-in-law will serve as pallbearers.
