She was also a business instructor at the Art Institute of Las Vegas, as well as an adjunct professor at the College of Southern Nevada. Emily's vivacious personality and zest for life carried her through many of life's endeavors. She was a marathon-runner, an avid traveler, was working toward earning her pilot's license and had a big heart for her two huskies, Denali and Naya. Those who met her instantly fell for the twinkle in her eye, and caught her contagious smile. She carried potential for a lifetime of good will and positive energy, and service for humankind. Emily may not have had many years in her life, but she most certainly had much life in her years. She has made an indelible imprint on the hearts of many. Services were March 10, 2012 at Pax Christi Catholic Church in Eden Prairie.
