Sarah Viola Johnson-Senff-Blank was born 28 Aug 1908 in Rogers, Barnes Co., ND, to Christ George & Sophia Caroline (Wilson) Johnson. She grew up in the Rogers area and attended local schools. Her father was a farmer.
Sarah married Harold Senff on 20 Oct 1926 in Valley City, ND. They were together 26 years and divorced. Harold and Sarah and family moved to Portland, OR in 1940 and they all spent the rest of their lives in Oregon.
Sarah remarried to Vey Wesley Blank on 10 Nov 1956 in Portland, OR, and they had a 25 year happy marriage until his death in 1982.
Sarah worked for Jantzen Mills Inc. and Kendall Mills for several years and she was a homemaker.
Sarah had Alzheimers in her later years, and daughter, Janet moved her to Salem to have her near. She lived in a duplex next to one of her brothers and then later in a Nursing Care Facility. Sarah died in her sleep 30 Apr 1991 at age 82 yrs., 7 mos.
She was survived by her daughter Janet Marie (Lorin) Lewis of Keiser, OR, and 5 grandchildren,10 great-grandchildren, brothers, Clifford Johnson of ND, Oscar Johnson of Keiser, OR; sisters: Marian Olson and Ada Kopperud both of ND.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Vey Blank; her son, Ellis Harold 'Duffey' Senff; siblings: Edith Johnson, Iva Grindler, Elmer Johnson, Carrie Overby, & Willard Johnson,
