Lennie Ward was an amazing woman. She was the baby of the family which had 10 kids. She married Ellis Ward Sr. who was a boiler maker and loved to boat and to box. I've heard that Lennie worried about his boxing and that he was good at it. He died much too young. After his death Lennie needed to have a way to provide for her child. She was designated Post Mistress of a little Post Office in McDonoghville. It was a little one room building. She never learned to drive and would walk to and from work. She lived in the Drinkhaus family home until her death. She was a fun Grandma.
