Irene B. Moffat, age 81 of Warwick, died Sun. at Briarcliffe Manor, Johnston surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late James Kelvin Moffat. Born in Detroit, MI, the daughter of the late Eddy and Blanche (Piche) Desmarais. A graduate of Aldrich High School Class of 1943, Mrs. Moffat was the Secretary/ Bookkeeper for Palestine Shrine Club and Rhodes on the Pawtuxet retiring in 1987. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Post #61 American Legion for many years and a member of the Special Ladies of Palestine Shrine and Harmony Lodge #9 F. & AM
Mrs. Moffat is survived by a son Bruce K. Moffat his wife Sheila and children Jonathan and Brianna of Cranston, a daughter Joyce L. Duquenoy her husband David and children Amanda, Michaela and Jessica of Millville, MA. A sister Lucille Stang and brother Roger Desmarais. Funeral will be Thur. at 9AM from Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick with a Service in St. Mark's Episcopal Church 111 West Shore Rd. Warwick.
