Roger E. Desmarais Sr., 81, of Warwick, died October 6, 2010 at Largo Medical Center, Fla. He was the beloved husband of the late Marion E. (Angell) Desmarais and companion of the late Jane DeRosa. Born in Lonsdale, he was the son of the late Eddy S. Desmarais and Blanche (Piche) Desmarais. Mr. Desmarais was a Korean War veteran and a volunteer Warwick firefighter. He was also active with the Boy Scouts of America, Gaspee Troop 1, and was employed by Jo-Macs Garage/Alcon Corporation for over 30 years before retiring. He leaves two daughters Cheryl (Chicky) Desmarais of Seminole, FL. and Cynthia E. Desnoyers of Warwick, and a son, Roger (Tiger) Desmarais Jr. of Mesa, AZ. He was the brother of Lucille Stang of Warwick and the late Irene Moffat. He also leaves four grandchildren. His funeral was private at the request of the family, and he was buried with military honors at Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery in Exeter.
