Mrs. Mary Bloomer Dead
Well Known Resident Died Here Thursday Morning. Mrs. Mary M. Bloomer, aged 61, years, two months and nine days, died at the home of her son, L.J. Bloomer, 900 West Maple street, at 10 o'clock Thursday morning of cancer of the breast. She was born in Pulaski county, Kentucky, on the 31st day of July, 1857. Up to a week ago she resided in Rutland township a few miles west of Independence. The funeral will be held Sunday morning at 11 o'clock at the Quaker church in Bolton, in charge of Rev. G.B. Merrit of the First Baptist church of this city. The funeral party will leave Independence at 9 o'clock and interment will be made in the Harrisonville cemetery about two and one half miles south of Bolton. Mrs. Bloomer is survived by three sons, Otis G., of Coffeyville, C.Z. of Wayside and J.L. of Independence. (Independence Daily Reporter - Independence, Kansas - Friday, October 11, 1918 - Page 1)
