SLATON - Graveside services for George W. White, 75, Borger, were at 1:30 p.m. today in Englewood Cemetery at Slaton with the Rev. Joe Nichols, pastor St. Andrew Methodist Church, Borger, officiating.

Burial will be by Englund Funeral Directors.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Andrew Methodist Church, Borger, with the Rev. Jon Nichols, pastor, officiating.

Mr. White died Friday, March 4, 1994 in Methodist Hospital in Lubbock.

He was born May 2, 1918 at Sapulpa, Okla. He graduated from Ralls High School in 1936. He was a World War II Army veteran, and was an operator for Phillips 66 Oil Company until he retired in 1981. He was a member of St. Andrew Methodist Church.

He married Dessie Brewer Feb. 6, 1946 in Lubbock, and moved to Borger the same year.

Survivors include his wife of the home; two sons, Gyron White and Alton White, both of Lubbock; two brothers, Kenneth White of Lubbock; and Bill Partin Hall, of Arizona; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Burial 7 Mar 1994. No headstone. He is buried in the Brewer Family Plot at the far corner to the left of Pauline and Oscar's monument. Dessie Mae, his wife, is buried next to him to the right.
