NORMAL, IL -- Dorothea E Fitzgerald, 83, of 510 Broadway Normal, formerly of Bloomington, died at 10:15 p.m. Tuesday ( March 8, 2005) at ManorCareHealth Services, Normal.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Church, Bloomington, the Rev Fr. Ric Schneioder officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Stanford.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington.
Memorials may be made to a chairty of the donor's choice.
She was born Nov 11, 1921, at Bloomington, the daughter of Rollo George and Florence G Kistner Bowling.
She married Wilbur L "Buss" Fitzgerald on Feb 19, 1944, in Bloomington, He died July 24, 1984.
Survivors include a son, Terrance L. (Alice) Fitzgerald, Clinton; a stepson, Frank Fitzgerald, Bloomington; two grandsons, Brian L. (Suzanne) Fitzgerald, Bloomington; and Eric D Fitzgerald, Heyworth; two great-grandchildren, Katelyn and Joseph Fitzgerald; and a sister, Patricia A Jennes, Mountain Home, Ark.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, William and James Bowling; and an infant sister, Connie Jo.
She was a member of the Roman Catholic Church.
Mrs. Fitzgerald had worked as a bookkeeper for the John Koch Accounting Co. for many years.
