Funeral services for Mr. "Bob" Robert Shanas, age 65, are scheduled for 10 AM Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Dalyn Helbling officiating. Interment will follow in Bonita Cemetery, Bonita, LA under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5 PM until 8 PM Wednesday evening at Golden Funeral Home.

Mr. Shanas, an advisor for Gorilla Axle and owner of Westside Auto Supply, passed away Monday, September 2, 2013 in Monroe, LA. He was a member of Bastrop First Church of God. He was a loving father and grandfather. He loved playing his guitar and riding his motorcycle.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Humphreys Shanas; sons, Jason Shanas and wife Summer of Monroe, LA, Kyle Shanas and wife Misty of Mer Rouge, LA; sister, Charlene Davis of Monroe, LA; brother, James Shanas of Monroe, LA; and granddaughters, Lauren and Taylor Shanas.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ronald Hopkins, Lonnie Wayne Blackwell, Louie Thomas, Jimmy Long and Bobby Knickerbocker.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Watts, Herman Hattaway, Dwain Humphreys, Gale Rogers, Doyle Hindmon and Dr. Carter Cox, Jr.
