W.H. LOGAN, FORMER PHONE MANAGER, DIES

Services Held Monday Morning for McMinnville Man

William H. Logan, who was superintendent of the local telephone company for a number of years before it was sold to the West Coast Telephone company, died here Friday. He was 68 years old.

Born at Aumsville, in Marion county, May 22, 1868, he had made McMinnville his home for many years. He was a barber here for a time and later entered the telephone business. When the local company was sold he retired from active work. In late years he had been in ill health.

Surviving are Mrs. Logan and one daughter, Mrs. Madalene Madsen of Salem.

He was a Mason, a member of the Scottish Rite, and the Woodmen of the World.

Funeral services were held Monday morning at 10:30 at the Macy memorial chapel and burial was in the Evergreen cemetery. The Masonic service was used at the grave.
