Jack O. Waugh Sr., 56, of Parkersburg, died Monday in St. Marys. He was born in Logan County, a son of Irene Jackson Waugh of St. Marys and the late Porter P. Waugh. He was a graduate of St. Marys High School and Marshall University, served with the W.Va. State police for eight years, was a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic, and was a member of the W. Va. Chiropractic Association. He was also a member or Wayne Lodge No. 18 AF&FM, served with the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the Teays Valley Baptist Church. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Stephanie Higgins of St. Marys, a son, Jack O. Waugh Jr. of Parkersburg; a sister, Betty Barcley of Niceville, Fla.; and three grandchildren, Joshua, Jeremy and Jessica Higgins of St. Marys. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Glenna Maston. The body will be cremated. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Ruttencutter Funeral Home with the Rev. Harley Bailey and the Rev. Dan Simmons officiating. Burial of the ashes will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today
