Annie Aretta Grogan

Annie Arettia Grogan was born October 21, 1926 to the late Will Simpson Hayden and May Hayden of the Charleston Nursing Home in Charleston.

On March 20, 1946, she married John Grogan, who survives.

Mrs. Grogan was a member of the West Side Baptist Church in East Prairie. She had been employed by the Sikeston Woodworking Co. before ill health forced her to retire. She had lived most of her life in Mississippi County.

Besides her husband and her mother, Mrs. Grogan is survived by three sons, Larry G. and Terry L. Grogan, both of Sikeston, and Jerry Wayne Grogan of the home; eight daughters, Mrs. Linda Caulley of Tulsa, Okla. Mrs. Dorothy Bolden, Mrs. Johnnie Ellis and Mrs. Georgia Thurman, all of East Prairie, Mrs. Caroline Tripp and Miss Ellen Grogan, both of Jackson, Hellen Day of Matthews, and Miss Mary Sue Grogan of the home; two brothers, Jack Hayden of state of Michigan, and Tom Hayden of Hutchinson, Kan.; four sisters, Mrs. Alberta Burgess, Mrs. Dora Thomure and Mrs. Eddie B. Sipp, all of East Prairie, and Mrs. Bessie Smithson of Cunningham, Ky. and eight grandchildren.
