Alexander Chin was the first born child and son of William and Elizabeth White Chin. He was born in 1858 in Toronto,Ontario. He was raised in a small cottage on the grounds of the grange where his father was the butler. He became a Barber. He met Mary McEachnie and they married on 16 Dec 1879. They became the parents of 4 children ,Catherine (1880),Mary (1881),Alexander (1883) and Arthur (1884). He passed away at a very young age on 23 Dec 1886 and is buried in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
