Grandma Allen fell down the steps at the door and delivered this baby, stillborn, three weeks later.
Although the tombstone says "Infant," she is listed in the family papers as "Nancy Hazel." I do not know why that is. I wonder if they planned to name her Nancy Hazel before she was born, then didn't when she was stillborn, or perhaps they had not yet chosen a name until later, after the stone was in place.
