Nellie G. Ellison age 87 went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 30, 2013. She was born on January 27, 1926 to her parents Thomas William Alexander and Minnie Lurinda (Purdy) in Park Springs, Texas. After high school she married the love of her life Richard Ely Ellison on May 1, 1946 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. They shared forty-three years of marriage together before his passing in 1989. Richard and Nellie spent fifteen years in Abilene, Texas before moving to Oktaha in 1973 where she has resided for forty years. Nellie enjoyed working in the flower garden, and taking care of her grandchildren. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed the time she was able to spend with her children and family. Nellie saw a lot of change in our world in her 87 years of life, but one thing is for sure she never took one day for granted that God gave to her. She always cherished the times she was able to spend with her family and friends. She was a member of the Liberty Community Church in Oktaha for many years. Welcoming Nellie into Heaven were here parents Thomas and Minnie, husband Richard, one daughter Kathy Ellison, six brothers, Earl, Paul, Ben, Henry, Jess and Cecil. Four sisters Lena Skaggs, Willie Purdom, Lillie Parker and Captolla Green.
