Elizabeth Hindman Taylor of 1904 Stonewall St. died Monday night at 10:30 p.m. in a Greenville hospital after a long illness.
Funeral services are today at 2 p.m. in Sorrells and Sons Chapel with Rev. Richard Atkison (sic) officiating. Burial is in Forest Park. Pallberaerers are: Dick McLeRoy, Jay Morrell, Ray Worthen, Howard Daniels, Dan Brazil, Tar Barlow, Harris Morgan and G.C. Harris.
Mrs. Taylor ws born in Greenville Nov. 17, 1906 to W.B. Hindman and Fannie Belle Pyle. She married Karl Whitt who preceded her in death in 1938. Later she married James Taylor, who also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Taylor worked for Mid Western Reprentatives for Community Concert-A division of Columbia Artist Management of New York. She was a member of the Wesley Methodist Church. She received her bachelors and masters degrees from the University of Texas and was a past-president of the American Association of University Women.
Survivors include: a brother, Charles H. Hindman of Longview; two nieces, Mrs. Elizaabeth Engelking Teithler of New York and Mrs. Ellen Hindman Walker of Norman, Okla.
The family requests memorials to the American Cancer Society.
