Paris News, Fri. May 23, 1952, Pg. 10

Funeral services for William B. Hindman, nearly 85, former Paris resident, were set for Friday afternoon in Greenville. He suffered a stroke Wednesday morning just after leaving his downtown office.

Born in Kentucky, June 2, 1867, he came to Paris when he was five years old. He and his bride, the late Fannie Bell Pyle, went to Greenville to live about 1898.

Mr. Hindman was North Texas manager for the Neil P. Anderson Cotton Company until ill health caused his retirement when he was about 45 years old. Recovering, he became a pioneer automobile salesman here, and continued active in business. He fractured his hip last year but shortly before his death, had discarded his wheel chair for a cane.
