Alfred H. Sessler, 74, of Wilton, passed away Thursday, June 1, 1995, at his home in Wilton.

Visitation will be 3:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, June 4, at Lacock-Bentley Funeral Home in Wilton. A memorial fund has been established in his memory.

Funeral services will be 10:30 p.m., Monday, June 5, at Zion Lutheran Church in Wilton, with Rev. Keith Speaks officiating. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery, Wilton, Iowa.

Alfred Herman Sessler was born October 4, 1920, in Wilton, the son of John and Caroline (Grunder) Sessler. He married Jean Elaine Daut on January 5, 1947, in Wilton. She preceded him in death on December 5, 1966. He married Jeannine Joyce (Petersen) Gordon on June 9, 1968, in Wilton. She preceded him in death on January 5, 1980. He married Catherine Marie (Walters) Riggs Gramkow on June 25, 1983, in Davenport. He farmed in Cedar County, until retiring in 1984. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Wilton, a church elder and the trustee and financial secretary. He also was a member of the church fellowship and Lutheran Laymen's League.

Surviving are his wife, Catherine; one daughter, Rebecca (Danny) Graves of Wilton; four step-sons, Scott Gordon of Dallas, TX, Jeffrey Gordon of Port Orange, FL, David Riggs of North East, PA, and Christopher Gramkow of Davenport; five grandchildren; one sister, Clara (Wilmer) Theis of Atkins; and two brothers, Arthur (Vera) Sessler of Durant and Robert (Eloise) Sessler of Wilton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his two first wives and four brothers, Herbert, Harold, Alvin and Richard Sessler.
