Christie Lewallen Hernandez, 60, of Ontario, Oregon passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at home with loving family members beside her.

Christie was born on August 16, 1952, in Weiser, Idaho, the daughter of Paul John and Joey Genevieve Domby. She was raised on Porter's Flat between Weiser, Idaho and Huntington, Oregon. She attended Annex Grade School and Weiser High School. She married Gale Lewallen after she graduated and traveled many states. They ended up in Salt Lake City, Utah where their son Jesse was born. They were divorced and Christie moved back home to Ontario, Oregon to raise her son Jesse and be near her family. Christie worked for H.J. Heinz (formally Ore-Ida) for 17 1/2 years. She married Celestino Hernandez but later was divorced in 2004.

She is survived by her one and only son Jesse Lewallen and his girlfriend Crystal Otis from Boise, Idaho. Her greatest pleasure was her two grandchildren, Talon Jesse and Harlee Jade Lewallen. She has a step-granddaughter Jasmine Hlinka.

She is survived by an older brother Steven Domby and wife Glenda, older sister Marcia Adams and husband Earl, younger brother John Domby and wife Tess. She is also survived by one uncle Victor Domby and wife Barbara, cousins, numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a loving friend Mike Dickerson from Ontario, Oregon. Christie was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew Jason Jackson.

Christie valued her friends at H.J. Heinz and kept in touch with her school friends while she gained new friends over the years. She was a very loving and caring person and her family and friends are going to miss her dearly. She is now in the loving arms of Our Lord.

Services were provided by Lienkaemper Chapel, Ontario. There was no funeral as per Christie's wishes, but there will be a Celebration of Life in August for family and friends. Private Interment Evergreen Cemetery.
