Death claimed Mrs. Henry M. Adams, age 79, of 408 Jackson Ave. on Friday at the emergency room of the Upson County Hospital. Funeral services were held Saturday at 3 p.m. from the First Baptist Church with Dr. E.L. Cliburn officiating. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery with Pasley Fletcher Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Adams was a native Upsonian. She was a former Upson county school teacher, a member of the First Baptist Church and a member of the R.E. Hightower Chapter No. 291 Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by two daughters, Miss Ernestine Adams, Atlanta, and Miss Sara Adams, Thomaston; a son, Malvin M. Adams, Thomaston; two brothers, Grady Vining and James Vining, both of Thomaston; two grandsons; and three great-grandchildren.
