Frank Adrian Hermenet, 87, of Turlock died Thursday at Brandel Manor Convalescent Hospital.

Mr. Hermenet was a native of Sodus, New York, and lived in the Turlock area 41 years. He was a mechanic for General Motors before serving in the Army during WW II. He later became a farmer, then was a manager at Patterson Frozen Foods. He also drove a forklift at Rough and Ready Island Supply Depot. He was a member of Sodus Masonic Lodge for 50 years and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed refinishing antiques and square dancing.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Hermenet of Turlock; children, Karen Petersen of Petaluma, Beth Heldt of Santa Rosa, Brion and Keith Hermenet of Turlock, CA.; brother, Raymond Hermenet of Massachusetts; sisters, Ila Waite and Jane Hoy, both of New York; and 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by two brothers; and one sister.

A graveside service will be at 2p.m. Friday at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, Santa Nella Village. Allen Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
