Sylvia Farr Blazzard, 75, of Modesto died Wednesday at Emanuel Medical Center, Turlock.
Mrs. Blazzard was a native of St. John's, Arizona, and lived in Modesto 20 years. She was a school teacher for 50 years, spending most of her years working in Stanislaus County School. She graduated from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and the Sixth Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She is survived by husband, Trevelyn Blazzard of Modesto; children, Bud Blazzard of Ceres, Ben Blazzard of La Grange, Ernest Blazzard of Rohnert Park, Barbara Blazzard of Modesto and Beverly McManus of Castro Valley; brothers, LaMarr Farr of Mesa, Arizona, Earl Farr of Kaysville, Utah, and Merl Farr of Gilbert, Arizona; sister, LaMell Ashcroft of Mesa; and 13 grandchildren.
A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Orangeburg Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Burial is pending at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, Santa Nella.
