Dora M. Williams of 1396 Broadway Avenue, Apt. 3, Masury, Ohio, died Monday in the Sharon Regional Health Care System after a sudden and unexpected illness. She was 90. Mrs. Williams was born in Masury, Ohio on November 7, 1915, a daughter of Thomas and Fanny F. (Hill) Purvies. She graduated from Brookfield High School in 1934 and furthered her education by graduating from the Buhl Hospital School of Nursing in 1939. Dora was a Registered Nurse who began at the Buhl Hospital. She then worked for National Castings, Farrell, as an Industrial Nurse. At the height of her career, Dora became the Director of Nursing at Montifiore Hospital, Pittsburgh. When she returned to this area, she finished her career as a nurse for Nugent��(TM)s Convalescent Center, Hermitage. She was protestant by faith and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Hartford. In her spare time, Dora enjoyed needle point and baking. She cherished & loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include: 2 children, Mary Margaret Sabino & her husband Dominic, Masury, and Kent D. Williams & his wife Debbie, Pittsburgh; daughter-in-law, Genevieve Williams, Sharon; sister, Bessie Sloniger, Sharon; 6 grandchildren, Cynthia Logan (James), Diane Yourstowsky (Ron), Randall Williams (Robyn), Mark Williams (Nadine), Kent Williams, Jr. (Teresa), & Paul Williams; and 11 great-grandchildren, Ryan, Evan, Matthew, Michael, Marissa, Brett, Madison, Tyler, Jenna, Jonathon, & Jordan. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, John H. "Jack" Williams, whom she married 11-7-39, he died 1-8-98; by her son, John E. Williams; and by her brother, Harry M. Purvies. Funeral Services will be private at the Madasz Funeral Chapel, Brookfield, with Rev. Dennis Bewley, officiating. No Calling hours will be scheduled.
