Born Dec.11,1912 at Meade,KS the son of Riley and Edna(Bolton)Sprott, he married Ruth Ann Schlereth on Feb.21,1943 at Dodge City,Ks.
In his early years,Leonard live at Forgan,Okla northwest New Mexico,Aztec,New Mex, and Ford. He was a Jetmore resident since 1943. He played bass fiddle with several Dodge city area bands over the years.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Cathedral,Dodge City,KS.
Survivors are his wife,Ruth Ann;two sons, Stephen of Dodge City and Terrance of Garden City,Ks; three daughters, Mary Louise Nau and Monica Alexander of Dodge City and Madonna wendler of Garden City,Ks; sister Verda Chapman of Cottonwood,Ariz and 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Marion, three sisters,Oma Mae Sprott, Zella Ruth Sprott, and Marvel Lorraine Payne.
