Gay Henderson, 84, Ellis, died Saturday, Aug. 20, 2005, at his home. He was born Feb. 13, 1921, in Ellis to Marion F. and Margarett H. (Lynd) Henderson.

He married Mary Miller on May 27, 1952, in Great Bend.

He was a self-employed house mover. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Ellis.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, Thomas Henderson and wife, Norma, Hays, and Marion Henderson and wife, Vicki, Cheyenne Wells, Colo.; two daughters, Paula Lerch and husband Lutz, Commerce City, Colo., and Marla Worley and husband, Paul, Ringling, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Ellis; burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Wasinger Funeral Chapel, Ellis. A rosary will be at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Hays Medical Center.
