SQUIRE — Kyle Edward Brewster, age 79 of Squire, WV died Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA. Born April 7, 1934 at Newhall, WV, he was a son of the late Edward Brewster and Lydia Shrader Brewster.

He was a Veteran serving two years in the U.S. Army and twenty years in the U.S. Navy where he earned the rank of Chief Petty Officer. Mr. Brewster was a retired coal miner and member of the UMWA Local #6025 at Bishop, VA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Ima Smith and Margaret Dagistino.

He is survived by his loving and caring wife, Peggy Brewster; one son, Randy Chandler and wife, Frankie of Crouse, NC and their sons, Chad and Todd; one daughter, Billie Meadows and husband, Shannon of Ft. Mills, SC and their children, Mackenzie, Kyle, Ashlyn Kate, and Addison; stepdaughters, Sue Grice and husband, Pat of Grove City, OH and their daughter, Ericka Newman, Becky Bickerdt and husband, Oscar and their children, Joshua and Samantha; one brother, Wayne Brewster and wife, Stella; four sisters, June Clark, Charlotte Collins, Brenda Wintermute and husband, Jim, and Deloris Evans; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell, VA after 11 AM Thursday, August 22, 2013.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 PM Thursday, August 22, 2013 at the funeral home with Pastors Arnold Marrs and Kenny Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA where military graveside rites will be conducted by members of the Barns Beavers VFW Post #7136 of Tazewell, VA and the Virginia Guard Honor Team of Gate City, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Lee Graham and Tommy Asbury.
