A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off for Harris Autin Sr., 73, a native and resident of Cut Off, who died at 1 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22.
Burial was in the church cemetery.
He was the husband of Julia Bruce Autin; father of Harris Jr. and Donald Autin and Yalta Autin Guidry; brother of Alzec and Eves Autin, Irene Guidry, Flora Bruce and Clay Eymard. He also is survived by two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcelin and Amelia Danos Autin; four brothers, Leonard, Oris, Alcide and Horace Autin; and two sisters, Lelia and Norecia Dantin.
He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland was in charge of arrangements.
