Esther M. Wright, 88, of Bemidji died Wednesday at North Country Hospital. Funeral services were at First Presbyterian Church. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Wright was born Dec. 24, 1900, at Cedar Falls, Iowa, to Charles and Minnie Barclay. She moved to a farm west of Bemidji as a child and attended country school. She had lived in Bemidji her entire adult life.

She is survived by seven daughters, Pearl Wagner of Bremerton, Wash., Grace (Richard) Dehnel of Solway, June (John) Wallinger of St. Louis, Mo., Sharon Schipper New Brighton, Le Etta (Larry) Wixson of Coos Bay, Ore., Doris (Vernon) Edwards of Bemidji and Lois (Don) Stratton of St. Paul; a son David Randal of Gold Bar, Wash.; 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Hazel Sukert of Portland, Ore., and Violet (Clifford) Schneider and Laura (Warren) Jackson of Bemidji; and two brothers, Lester Barclay of Redmond, Ore., and William Barclay of Colville, Wash.

She was preceded in death by a son, Charles "Bob" Randal, during World War II and by two grandchildren, a brother, and a sister.
