She was born on March 16, 1915, to Charles and Minnie (Kingsbury) Barclay, in Beltrami County. She grew up in the Bemidji area where she attended school. She married C. Warren Jackson on June 10, 1934, near Bemidji. They lived in Saum, Minn., the Carr Lake area and then Becida. In 1955, they moved to Seattle, Wash., returning to Becida in 1956. They lived in Becida until 1957. They lived in the Carr Lake area from 1957 to 1962 when they moved to New Brighton, Minn. In 1964, they moved to Wannamingo, Minn. In 1966, they moved to St. Charles, Minn., and in 1976 they moved to Bemidji, where she has lived up to the time of her death. At the age of 83, she earned her GED.
She enjoyed arts, crafts,, music, doing jigsaw puzzles and writing songs. She wrote songs and recorded them in Nashville, Tenn.
She is survived by her sons, Buck (Nancy) Jackson of Worley, Idaho, Bob (Darla) Jackson of Bemidji, Richard Jackson of Los Angeles, Calif., John Jackson of Los Angles, and Craig (Creek) Jackson of Spokane, Wash.; daughters, Linda (Leonard) Rafhdahl of Bemidji, Charlene (Jim) Gullickson of Cannon Falls, Minn., and Julianne (Robert) Matthews of Cass Lake; 25 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; and brother, Bill (Onamae) Barclay of Worley.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Gary Jackson; two granddaughters; and a brother and four sisters.
