Final rites for Ira J Baker, 62, Oak Hill will be conducted at 2pm Monday in the First Presbyterian Church of which he was a member and elder with the Rev. R.P. Robertson in charge.
Burial will be in High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill.
Baker died Friday in the Oak Hill Hospital after a heart attach.
He was assistant cashier at the Merchants and Miners National Bank in Oak Hill and had been associated with the bank for 38 years. Born in Ballard, Monroe County, Jan 20, 1900, he was member of Oak Hill masonic Lodge No. 120.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mamie Alice Baker; a brother, Lomar, of Salem; a sister Mrs. Gurthia Martin of Bozoo; a son William L., stationed with the U.S. Army in Huntsville, Ala, and a daughter, Mrs. Robert Temple of Atlanta, Ga.
The body will be taken from the Thomas Funeral Home in Oak Hill to the Church one hour before the service.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3pm today.
