Irene was 94 years old when she passed away peacefully at home. She was born to Flora McDonald and James Henry McClure, the youngest of 8 children. Irene attended Salt Lake public schools and also the Rowlan Hall School for Girls. On September 28, 1933 she married Frank Bednarik. He passed away in 1973. Together they raised four boys. She was a dedicated wife and mother and later, for 11 years she worked downtown in the Hotel Utah gift shop. She led a long, full and complete life of "simple-balance". She is survived by her sons, Jimmy, Dennis, Gerry and Steven, 18 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, along with many other family members. Funeral Services were held August 13, 2005 at the St. James Episcopal Church.
